He makes Peter Crouch look like a midget and is nicknamed Stretch – but Christopher Lister is still growing.
The towering 18-year-old measures an astonishing 7ft 3in (2.21m) and is thought to be Britain’s tallest teenager.
The beanpole student, from Leeds, cannot even fit through his front door without bending down. His loftiness has cost his parents about £22,000 after they were forced to refurbish the family home to accommodate his enormous frame.
The work included fitting a walk-in shower, extending doors to the ceiling and buying an extra-long bed for him. Christopher, who is only 3in (8cm) shorter than the country’s tallest man, said: ‘I get swamped by people when I go out asking me about my height.’
He wears size 18 shoes, was 4ft (1.21m) tall when he first started school aged four and was as tall as 6ft 7in (2m) Liverpool goal-getter Crouch two years ago.
He also has a nightmare trying to fit into clothes and cars.
The teenager added: ‘When I fill in forms and they ask for any details of disabilities I just write down “Extra tall”.’

That must suck!! I’m 17 and 6ft 3in! Every one mocks me because I’m a girl and taller than the boys! : ( ! I don’t have it as bad as Christopher Lister though! I think it’s cool that he is so tall but the money side is a bit scary!

i seen this lad at my anty’s house and my mum thourght he was sat on a chair until she saw his feet were on the floor and she stood there in amazment.

Chris is just a guy why cant PEOPLE just accept some of us just look different. If you are having a bad hair day ..you go out thinking everyone is looking at you or your clothes ! well chris has this everyday no matter how he looks!

I felt so sorry for him being hassled to the point of irritation when people kept gawking at him and asking the same old boring questions about his height. He is just a tall lad and that’s it. I don’t know he feels about still growing taller but however tall he gets in the end I wish him well.

Good luck to Chris Lister – on the program about Tallest teens he was very pleasat and friendly and amzingly patient and composed when hassled by all those midget muppets asking the same tired all queastions and making comments about height and all that sort of rubbish. I know many tall guys and all of them are nice guys. I know many short guys and they can be so different – short guys with a complex – short guy syndrome – can be most uinpleasant. Chris Lister is a reall nice bloke in every way. Good luck to him.

I’ve known Chris since we were both about 14 years old and ive seen him grow taller and taller and each time we met he was a lot taller than before but he just joked he wasnt growing it was me who was shrinking. He said that all the time.
